Bait Ali - Wadi Rum

This newly created base and rest area in the heart of Wadi Rum, is easily accessed from the main Wadi Rum road (around 55 km. from Aqaba and 10 km. from the desert highway turn off at ‘Ragdia’ ). On the main bus route to ‘Rum’ or Dissi’, it is well sign posted with a good road leading to ample car and bus parking next to the rest area itself.

The camp and rest area is built in the Bedouin Arabic tradition blending naturally into its desert surroundings. Together with its large modern kitchen “Bait Ali” has traditional Bedouin tented areas, modern showers and toilets: terraced areas with “zerb oven”, bar facilities and of course plenty of room for camping, whether in the tents already on site or for motor caravans.

This area offers livery and camping facilities to any through going groups (with their camels or horses) or for groups wishing to start or end their tour at “Bait Ali”: for those who wish to explore Rum on horses or camels, we are ;eased to offer set treks throughout the area – and not to be outdone; for cycle groups we offer a splendid ‘waterhole’ with workshop and basic repair facilities!….
